Dr. Timothy B. Cole, MD, FACS
Dr. Cole was raised on a cotton farm in the Texas Panhandle near Clarendon, Texas. He graduated summa cum laude from West Texas State University, and subsequently attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where he graduated in 1992. After 5 years of surgery residency training at the University of Kansas where hernia evaluation and treatment was a major focus, Dr. Cole practiced for the following 16 years in Lincoln, Nebraska until returning home to the great state of Texas in 2012. While in Nebraska, Dr. Cole was an adjunct instructor for the University of Nebraska. In addition, the time in Nebraska helped make Dr. Cole an avid Cornhusker football fan! Dr. Cole has repaired thousands of hernias over the past three decades. He is trained in the latest minimally invasive techniques for hernia repair when surgery is necessary. Dr. Cole particularly enjoys it when patients return to his office following their hernia repair and are happy to have the bothersome hernia gone! Dr. Cole's combination of quality hernia repair training, many years of hernia repair surgical experience, and good "old-fashioned" bedside manner will help make your surgical experience the best that it can be. Dr. Cole has been a pilot for 18 years and is a designee of the Federal Aviation Administration as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner. Dr. Cole is proud of his Texas roots; Cole’s 4th great grandfather, Gabriel Cole, fought in the Siege of Bexar (1835) at San Antonio in the Texas Revolution.
